William J. Olson, P.C. Looks to Maintain Winning Record at the U.S. Supreme Court
in Upcoming October 2015 Term

The U.S. Supreme Court opens its October 2015
Term next Tuesday, October 6, and our firm is looking ahead to extend our
winning record in cases in which we filed amicus curiae briefs.
Already for the upcoming term, we have filed an amicus brief in one merits case,
Luis v. United States which is scheduled to be argued on November 10, 2015.
That case involves whether the government can seize the untainted assets of a federal criminal defendant
before trial, depriving her of the right to retain counsel of her choice.
In the 2014 Term, although we (and the nation)suffered historic losses in the ObamaCare and
same-sex marriage cases, we came out better than .500, being on the winning
side in four cases, while being on the losing side in three cases.

This continued our winning record from the 2013 Term, when we went 7-3. (The wins were McCutcheon, Bond, Rosemond,
Canning, Hobby Lobby, Susan B. Anthony List, and Riley. The losses were Kaley, Abramski,
and Castleman.)
We continued to be honored to participate in this way in defending our Constitution and our freedom.
