Attorneys Alicia Kutzer and Bill Olson discuss our Amicus brief at the United States District Court for D.C. in the case Perkins Coie v. U.S. Department of Justice, supporting the constitutionality of President Trump’s Executive Order (EO) entitled “Addressing Risks from Perkins Coie LLP,” revoking the security clearances from lawyers and agents of the law firm. The President’s responsibility under the Constitution to “take care” that laws are faithfully executed allows him to rescind the firm’s security clearance and disentangle the law firm from government agencies.
